The number of patients who contracted the coronavirus in Sri Lanka rose to 233 late this evening.
The Ministry of Health said that 14 more patients were detected by this evening, taking the total detected in Sri Lanka today to 15.
According to the Health Ministry, the 14 patients had associated with another patient who had contracted the virus.
Of the 14, one person had already been admitted to a quarantine center in Puttalam, eight at a quarantine center in Palali, four at a quarantine center in Mulankavil.
The Ministry of Health said that one other person had completed the quarantine process and had left for home when he contracted the virus.
