A tense situation has been reported in Vadamarachchi East after a young man was killed in a Police shooting incident.
The Police opened fire on a vehicle which allegedly failed to stop at a Police check point. The 24 year old driver of the vehicle was killed in the gunfire.
According to the Police the vehicle was transporting sand without a permit.
