K.Inparasa, the leader of the Rehabilitated Tamil Liberation Tigers Party stated in the press meet held yesterday at the Jaffna Press Club that they would not conduct the commemorative events of the LTTE in future as the Terrorism Investigation Division banned the commemorative events of the LTTE.
“Terrorism Investigation Division summoned us to the 2nd floor on last Wednesday where we were being investigated till 2.30 PM with regard to the Black Tigers Day commemorated on July 5 at Nelliyadi. During the investigation, they asked us who had given the permission to conduct the event and they further told us not to hold such events in future. They have taken assurance from us in this regard and they have got our signatures in a paper brought by them”, he further stated.
Consequently, he highlighted that they very sadly come to state that the circumstance would not allow them to conduct the commemorative events of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
