லயன் எயார் விமானத்தை சுட்டு வீழ்த்தியமை, எம்.ஐ.-24 ரக ஹெலிகொப்டரை சுட்டு வீழ்த்தியமை, பயணிகள் பஸ்கள் மீது குண்டுத் தாக்குதல் நடத்தியமை, தாக்குதல்கள் நடத்தியமை, அவற்றுக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு வழங்கியமை உள்ளிட்ட குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களின் அடிப்படையில் இவர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தனர். அனுராதபுரம், பொலனறுவை, மஹர, மட்டக்களப்பு மற்றும் யாழ்ப்பாணம் ஆகிய சிறைச்சாலைகளில் இந்த சந்தேக நபர்கள் தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். 70 சந்தேக நபர்கள் மீது எவ்வித வழக்கும் தொடரப்படாது பல ஆண்டுகளாக தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. கைது செய்யப்பட்டு தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளவர்களின் விபரங்கள் பின்வருமாறு:
