Sri Lanka Army troops arrest two men transporting ‘ICE’ worth Rs. 150 million

Two men transporting 10.4 kilos of crystal methamphetamine also called ‘ICE’ have been arrested by Sri Lanka Army troops in Mannar.

Intelligence troops of the 54 Division and 11 Sri Lanka Artillery in Mannar arrested two civilians with 10.4 kg of ICE at Mannar roadblock early this morning (31), the Army said.

The men were attempting to transport the stock of ICE worth Rs. 150 million from Thalaimannar to Vankalei area in their own cab.

Army troops have handed over the 32- and 36-years old suspects and drugs to the Mannar Police station for further investigations.
