நேற்றைய 30.08.21 காணாமல்போனோர் தொடர்பான சர்வதேச தினத்தில் OMP Sri Lanka ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த உரைகள் நிகழ்வில் பேசப்பட்ட முக்கியமான விடயங்கள்
யுத்தம் முடிவு பெற்று 12 ஆண்டுகள் கடந்த நிலையிலும் இன்னும் காணாமல் போனோர் தொடர்பான பிரச்சினை தீர்க்கப்படாது இருப்பது, எமது நாடு உள்நாட்டிலும் சர்வதேசத்திலும் முன்செல்லமுடியாமல் இருப்பதற்கு காரணமாக உள்ளது.
சிங்களவர்கள், தமிழர்கள், முஸ்லிம்கள் என எல்லாத் தரப்பினரும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு மரணச் சான்றிதழ், நஷ்ட ஈடு மட்டும் வழங்காது பொது மன்னிப்பு ஒன்றை கேட்பதாலும் வழங்குவதாலுமே இந்தப் பிரச்சினையை முடிவுக்கு கொண்டுவரமுடியும்.

Sinhalese, Tamils , and Muslims are all affected. The issue can only be resolved by asking for and issuing a public apology, not just a death certificate and compensation for the victims. Problems like these have been resolved internationally as well. – Ven. Karawilakottuwa Dhammathilaka Thera, Assistant Director, Pirivena Education, MOE-My desire is to end the issue of missing persons within 1000 days. We are working towards justice for the victims and all possible ways to prevent such a situation from recurring. – Dr. Suren Raghavan M P-President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is clear that the issue of missing persons must be brought to an end.
